Merrie Monarch 2015 - Details Mini Album, Part 1
I already love this album.
It's become a fast favorite, as far as mini albums go.
As you can see, I haven't done anything with the cover yet, besides punch two holes for the rings. And that was a decision and a half. I wrestled with ideas on how to bind this album. While in the gathering phase, I held everything together using a hairband/hair tie, as seen in this instagram photo. I really liked the way this looked but ultimately, knew I wouldn't be able to keep everything together long-term this way. So I bit the bullet and punched two holes for binder rings. It'll be easy to add things in and will allow for this album to be super chunky.
I think I'll eventually add to the cover. Something simple.
On the inside, I'm including a lot of layers. Lots of tags, envelopes and emphemera. Lots of places for random details, musings and findings. I'm giving myself a lot of freedom to just do anything, record anything, include any and everything.
Let's take a look at what I've gathered thus far...
So that's the first look at this album.
I'll be adding to it, as time permits, while on my trip and will finish the album up once I'm home. I'll be sure to share the finished project here (more than likely in a few separate posts).
I'm using a lot of product from lifelovepaper and Studio Calico, along with a few choice, previously-hoarded, pieces from Elise Blaha Cripe and A Beautiful Mess. You can read about the base kit and class for this album here.
In other news...I'm in desperate need of a mass photo printing sesh. Definitely not my favorite way to pass the time so I'm thinking I may try a photo printing service. Do you have any recommendations?
What's on your to-do list this week?
